The rate of approval for exemptions from tariffs on Chinese exports to the U.S. is declining. The latest round of 39 approvals by the U.S government for exclusions from list 3 tariffs under the section 301 amounted to just 1.9% of applications, bringing the average for list 3 to just 4.5%. By comparison list 1 and 2 applications were approved at 33.8% and 37.4% rates respectively.
