Boeing May Need to Prep Next Trade Case as FAA and CAAC Ink Agreement

The aviation regulators of the U.S. (FAA) and China (CAAC) have agreed to recognize each others’ safety rules. That’s another step on the way to Chinese state-owned aerospace manufacturer COMAC to being able to export its C-919 jet. That represents a threat for Boeing in its Chinese sales, international sales outside China and even in the U.S. – it may need to resort to trade cases as it has done against Bombardier.
