The growth in global seaborne container handling outpaced that of airfreight for the first time in 13 months in September. Container handling at ports in 10 countries tracked by Panjiva showed growth across the board except for in Latin America. The total expansion of 11% was led by North American ports, with Mexico handling 18% more traffic while those in Canada saw volumes rise 22%.
