Bunge leads Brazilian soybean bounce ahead of container shortage

Dry weather in Brazil and continued growth in Chinese demand has driven soybean prices higher. Brazil’s soybean exports normally peak in the first half of the year. In Q2’20 they rose by 53.9% year over year and by a further 32.5% in August as the weather effect has yet to cut supplies. The availability of containers globally has dropped due to increased global trade during the recovery from pandemic-related industry closures.
