Chinese Gasoline Supplies May End Marathon’s Rapid Run of Mexican Growth

Chinese exports of refined oil products are set to surge through August due to domestic oversupply and increased export quotas. Mexico is reported to be one of the target markets, which would come just as Mexican imports are starting to decline. Imports of refined oil fell 5.0% year over year in June, with shipments from the U.S. – which represented 86.3% year over year in the 12 months to Jun. 30 – having fallen 10.3%.
