Mexican auto exports climbe 12% on a year earlier in June. Trucks increased 26% while cars were unchanged, which is not a surprise given the slowdown in U.S. auto-sales. The big three American automakers send 89% of their exports to the U.S. Fiat-Chrysler led the way with a 44% rise in the second quarter, led by production of the Jeep Compass. GM is moving production of the GMC Terrain, which may have explained the 21% rise in its exports. Ford meanwhile saw a 10% downturn, possibly reflecting weaker Fusion and Fiesta shipments.
