Hino, Toyota’s truck manufacturing subsidiary, will halt heavy truck production in the U.S. until October “following challenges in the required U.S. engine certification testing process”. While U.S. sales of heavy trucks rose by 2.4% year over year in November, seaborne imports linked to Hino dropped by 52.1% year over year in November and by a further 60.6% in December.
