The U.S. ITC will continue to investigate exports of large diameter steel pipes from six countries including Canada, China and India. The latter is the likely main target for the case, accounting for 37% of U.S. imports in 2017, while Canada was 16% and China just 3%. It’s one of the first antidumping cases that will be complicated by the new section 232 “national security” duties due to be set by President Trump.
