Maersk will launch a new container-line service (“Med-Montreal”) between two Canadian ports and five Mediterranean ports in anticipation of increased trade flows following the CETA trade deal. While trade between Canada and the EU reached $14.5 billion in the 12 months to March 31 the growth potential has yet to be felt.
