New York Clears Congestion, CH Robinson Powers Through

Congestion issues at the ports of New York and New Jersey have dissipated with Maersk indicating truck dwell times of just 60 minutes. That follows five months of disruptions that have required measures such as onward movements of containers by barge to cure. A recent slowdown in traffic growth has also helped with containerized imports to the neighboring ports having risen by just 3.6% year over year in January. The freight forwarders have seen a widely divergent performance during the disruptions with CH Robinson achieving a 13.0% rise in imports in January and DB-Schenker a 29.2% drop...
