Newark-New York The Growth Leader As Port Volumes Surge

Inbound container traffic at America’s seaports saw an acceleration of growth to 5% on a year earlier in May from 4% in April and 2% in March. That reflects a surge in shipments from the EU in particular. That may reflect concerns about a widening series of retaliatory tariffs after the Trump administration administered duties on metals.
