Saudi Weapons Order Shortage Has Yet To Cut Deliveries

Industrials - Aero/Defense 196 Saudi Arabia 46 U.S. 5314

President Donald Trump has vetoed a bill to withdraw U.S. military support to Saudi Arabia in the Yemen conflict. That’s come as U.S. export orders for weapons and military aircraft have slowed, reaching $35.8 billion in the past 12 months to Apr. 18 from $76.8 billion the same period 12 months earlier. No new orders from Saudi Arabia have been approved by the Department of Defense since April 2018. The drop in orders from Saudi Arabia has not yet had an impact on exports, which reached $1.78 billion in the 12 months to Feb. 28 as prior orders are worked through.
