Container handling through China’s mainland ports climbed 12% in September, the 19th straight month of growth. The expansion of trade in the economy at large of 14% was slightly faster, but both the ports and the economy have seen a resurgence after a slow summer. Handling growth was led by Shenzhen, whose activity climbed 14% to reach a new record of 2.45 billion TEUs, while Dalian continued to lag.
