– US supply chains have dealt with storms and strikes while contending with a wave of early arriving imports which saw seaborne imports rise by 13.0% year over year in the third quarter of 2024, led by consumer goods. Looking ahead, firms appear unconcerned by the state of their supply chains and import growth is expected to revert to around 4% across all modes on an inflation-adjusted basis.
