The freight forwarding industry continued to feel the effects of COVID-19 in May, with U.S. containerized seaborne imports having fallen by 19.7% year over year. The downturn was principally due to a slide in consumer goods and was spread globally. Among the top 20 forwarders the worst performer was Ceva Logistics with a 45.3% drop in shipments linked to the firm according to Panjiva’s data.
