Retailer Toys’R’Us will close one-fifth of its U.S. stores as part of a financial restructuring, with a focus on the Babys’R’Us brand. The slowdown in the company’s business can be seen in its seaborne imports, which fell 26% in the fourth quarter vs. a year earlier and by 42% in December alone. That will be most keenly felt by Chinese suppliers, which accounted for 93% of shipments in the past two years.
