U.S. seaborne imports were up 6.9% year over year, down 5.5% from January. Factoring in February’s shorter days, however, indicates that imports increased to 90,315 per day, above January’s 86,363 per day. This marks a record in TEU per day in February, even though the effects of the Lunar New Year holiday in Asia.
