ZIM Shipping Steams Back to Seattle With Retail Opportunity

ZIM Shipping will resume a container shipping service to Seattle from ports in China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan as part of its cooperation agreement with Maersk and MSC. ZIM had previously scaled back its west coast U.S. operations in response to excessive competition from other liners. It only shipped 39.4k TEUs into the west coast in the 12 months to Mar. 31, down 71.8% from 2016.
