Aston Martin Seeks Add-Vantage in China

China 2970 Cons. Discr. - Autos 1178

Luxury automaker Aston Martin may announce an investment package of $600 million to support a sales rollout in China, including a new dealer network. Exports to China have been sporadic. After a peak of $33 million in 2013 there was a slump to $7 million in 2014, likely due to the government’s anti-extravagance campaign. That has alleviated more recently, and a recovery in exports to $28 million in the 12 months to November 30 may have given management the confidence to invest.
