The latest official survey of Chinese purchasing managers’ intentions for exports increased to 50.1, suggesting a growth in orders is expected. This was the highest figure since May 2016. Hopes for major suppliers to China, led by South Korea and Japan according to Panjiva data, also increased – import order expectations increased to 50.4, the highest since March 2016.
