U.S. business sentiment slumped in April including a slide in export order expectations, indicating the extent of the coronavirus-linked impact of a drop in demand and industrial closures. The export order index of 35.3, where below 50 indicates a contraction, was the worst since at least 2010 after the fourth straight decline.
