The U.S. ITC has voted to continue investigating complaints of subsidies for, and dumping of, large civil aircraft exports by Bombardier from Canada. This comes against the backdrop of broader concerns for U.S. aerospace from new Chinese and Russian jets and a WTO case against tax support for Boeing. Panjiva data shows U.S. aerospace imports already fell in 10 of the past 12 months. Total imports dropped 14% for the 12 months to April 30 on a year earlier, while those from Canada slumped 26%. Brazilian exports to the U.S., mostly from Embraer, were 1% better over the same period.
