French managers are confident, just not about trade. INSEE’s survey of managers’ export expectations in France fell in September to its lowest since October 2015. This was despite the overall survey of business conditions being better than expected. The outlook follows a 5% fall in exports in July. There is a little hope – there was a 15% hike in shipments to the U.S. in August, Panjiva data shows.
