Medical device maker Getinge has reported that its Q3 “order intake for ventilators increased but at a less spectacular level” than in Q2. The firm’s total order intake fell by 5.3% in Q3 due to reduced demand for non-ventilator products as hospitals focused on COVID-19 treatments. U.S. seaborne imports linked to the firm also dipped by 12.9% year over year and by 29.5% sequentially versus Q2, though the latter included a 497% sequential surge in ventilator shipments.
