The U.S. government has issued another round of exemptions from tariffs on imports from China. The 157 approvals cover 55 companies and relate to duties applied at a 25% rate since May 2019. The approvals include auto component makers such as Autoliv while the biggest winner in terms of number of approvals was military equipment producer Advantus. As in prior rounds, the medical supplies industry has been prioritized including gear-motors for Invacare’s motorized wheelchairs.
