Japanese Pool Chemical Imports Make a Splash as Chinese Duties Retained

China 3048 Materials - Chemicals 273 Spain 57 Tariffs 1866 U.S. 5399

The U.S. ITC has retained anti-dumping duties on isocyanurates, a pool treatment chemical, from China and Spain for another five years. The case goes back to 2005, though U.S. imports remain significant. Indeed, Panjiva data shows they increased 7.5% for the 12 months through September 30 vs. the same period a year earlier. China still accounts for 73% of imports, while Japanese imports jumped 60% over the same period.
