Brazilian beef exports to the U.S. can resume after a two year sanitary standards ban was lifted. The ban hasn’t crimped Brazil’s global exports, which surged 28.9% higher year over year in Q4 as a consequence of a 170% surge in shipments to China by JBS and Marfrig. China accounted for 55.7% of Brazilian beef exports in Q4. That could easily reverse depending on the implementation of the phase 1 trade deal between the U.S. and China.
