Furniture manufacturer La-Z-Boy expects an extended return in its manufacturing output after COVID-19. CEO Kurt Darrow has indicated that the firm has “made the decision to permanently close our Newton, Mississippi La-Z-Boy branded manufacturing facility and reduce our global workforce by approximately 10%.” The firm has had to simultaneously balance dealing with COVID-19 with restructuring its supply chain in response to the U.S.-China trade war.
