Mattel and Hasbro have reported rapid revenue growth in Q2’21 but have also faced significant supply chain challenges which are being addressed via a range of solutions. Mattel faced “shipping container shortages that were exacerbated by a temporary port shutdown in China and temporary plant shutdowns in Asia related to COVID-19 restrictions” which the firm’s CEO Ynon Kreiz expects to continue in the rest of 2021.
