The U.S. love of handheld weapons continues. Smith & Wesson reported a 40% increase in revenues in the last quarter, and provided guidance for the next quarter 36% above analyst expectations. Panjiva data showed U.S. weapons imports increased 6% in August, with prior months showing S&W increasing its market share. Ammunition is seeing the big moves though, with at least a 32% increase in August – the U.S. imports nearly 13,000 tons in the past 12 months.
