A survey of purchasing managers’ export expectations increased to 49.7% in August, the first increase since March according to the Chinese Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. Whilst still suggesting falling exports, it suggests a turnaround may be on the way. Panjiva data for U.S. imports of Chinese goods in the first half of August actually shows 5% growth.
