The U.S. customs authorities have determined that rubber global imports by Top Glove were produced using forced labor in Malaysia. That follows a Withhold Release Order issued in July 2020. U.S. seaborne imports linked to Top Glove from Malaysia fell by 75.6% in Q1’21 versus their Q2’20 peak. That was partly offset by a 51.7% rise in shipments from Thailand, though total imports still fell by 53.1% year over year in the first three weeks of March.
