The U.S. government has granted another 42 requests for exemptions from so-called “list 3” tariffs on Chinese exports, covering 31 products and 28 companies. Gaining exemptions is still a hit-and-miss affair with just 5.9% of list 3 decisions leading to an exemption and a further 27,255 cases yet to be adjudicated on.
