Aircraft maker Bombardier has sold a controlling stake in its C-Series jet business to Airbus, who in turn will produce some of the jets at its Alabama factory in the U.S. While there is a strategic product fit for Airbus, this appears in part to be a reaction to aggressive tariffs applied by the U.S. to Bombardier’s sales. That was caused by Boeing’s complaint about subsidies for a $5 billion C-Series sale to Delta airlines.
