111 Months of Logistics Job Growth Under Threat from Slowing Trade

The U.S. logistics industry’s employment growth continued for a 111th month in October with a 1.5% year over year increase. While that beat the economy at large, it was the slowest rate since Aug. 2013. The warehousing industry has seen a slowdown to growth of just 2.3% from a peak of 13.3% in Mar. 2018, while cost cutting associated with precision railroading has taken a toll.
