Container line Matson reported Q4’20 revenue which expanded by 29.5% as the result of a 139.1% jump in shipments handled on China-U.S. lanes linked to a new expedited service. The firm expects more of the same with “supply and demand dynamics in (the) transpacific trade lane to remain largely favorable in the first half of 2021 as (the) pandemic persists” including an “abbreviated post-Lunar New Year period slowdown”.
