American Coffee Exports Less Perky After Canada Reacts To Trump’s Metals Tariffs

Global coffee exports grew 1% on a year earlier in April. That was the fourth month of growth and reflects a 4% rise in shipments from Brazil that followed 14 months of declines in the past 15. The additional supplies from Brazil mostly went to Europe with Italian buyers’ purchases rising 7% and Belgium’s 8%. Shipments to the U.S. in the meantime fell 3% vs. a 12% drop in the first quarter.
