Italian exports increased 2% in September vs. a year earlier, a second month of growth on increased food and textile sales of 6% and 4% respectively. Exports to the U.S., Italy’s third largest customer and the largest outside Europe, increased 11% in September, with growth likely to continue. Panjiva data shows exports by sea to the U.S. in October increased 15%, including a 26% jump in lighting products and 11% in wine.
