The U.S. government has issued a new round of exemptions from tariffs on imports from China. In terms of list 4A tariffs, applied at a 7.5% rate, the beneficiaries have included electronics importers such as Apple and Vizio. Previously, exemptions from list 4A duties had only been granted to medical supplies – a consultation is underway to extend this list. List 3 duties, set at 25%, accounted for a larger number of exemptions though only at a 36.8% rate of approval.
