AT&T has come under pressure from the U.S. government to discontinue its relations with Chinese phone equipment maker Huawei. That relates to next-generation mobile phone networks, and follows its decision to not proceed with selling Huawei’s phones. While Chinese network equipment exports have grown by 12% in the past 12 months, and reached a record in November, Huawei has missed out. Its global exports fell 16% over the same period, lagging the growth seen by ZTE (19%) and Quanta (80%).
