Strikes at apparel factories in Bangladesh have continued in 2019 with 100 factories on strike in the Dhaka region. Continued disruptions could lead international clothes buyers to switch their sourcing strategies. Bangladeshi exports to the U.S. had begun to accelerate with a 13.7% surge in seaborne shipments in 4Q 2018.
