The Mexican government has banned imports of glyphosate herbicide imports, including Bayer’s Roundup. The move may complicate relations with the U.S. within the USMCA trade agreement – the U.S. represented 41.5% of Mexico’s $186 million of herbicide imports in the 12 months to Oct. 31. The market has largely stagnated, with imports having grown by just 0.1% year over year in the past 12 months after a 7.4% growth in the prior 12 months.
