The Chinese Ministry of Commerce will send a delegation of soybean buyers to the U.S. on July 11 to sign deals for “millions of tons”. That will coincide with the end of the U.S.-China 100 day talks to boost U.S. exports to China. It also comes as China has relaxed the rules on importing GMO crops. Panjiva data shows U.S. exports to China have already seen considerable success, with a 47% growth on a year earlier in the 12 months to April 30. That has come at the expense of Brazil, which dropped 6% as buyers including Cofco and Sinograin switched suppliers.
