Brazil’s soybean exports are set to climb 8% in 2018 according to the soybean growers’ association due to a better harvest and an ability to reduce inventories in respose to increased demand from China. Year-to-date exports have already risen 9% on a year earlier in the first five months of the year with shipments to China accelerating to a 16% rise in the month. Demand will likely rise further after the imposition of duties on American exports by the Chinese government.
