Canada Pays the Price for China Spat Yet Remains Robust

Canada 528 China 3047 Trade Balance 935

Canada’s international trade growth reached 2.9% year over year in April, with export growth of 3.5% having slowed from 4.0% in March. A 6.2% drop in shipments to China likely reflects reduced agricultural sales resulting from the spat regarding Huawei CEO Meng Wanzhou.
