The big computer manufacturers are refreshing their product lines at this week’s CES 2018 trade show. Lenovo has launched a Qualcomm-based model, the Miix 630, that brings significantly longer battery performance. It needs a reboot to growth, with third quarter 2017 revenues having risen just 4% on a year earlier. Its U.S. sales also appear to have slowed, with fourth quarter seaborne imports of PCs down by 74% on a year earlier – though that does include the period of the Yogabook launch in 2016.
