China’s government is making very specific demands of the U.S. at negotiations this week as the two countries try to avert tit-for-tat tariffs started by America’s section 301 review of Chinese IP practices. These include the removal of the “Tiananmen Sanctions Act” which restricts U.S. exports of semiconductors. Other components for the talks include increased purchases of LNG and agricultural products as well as a setting up a working group on services trade and a reprieve for ZTE from sanctions.
