Coffee Exports Get a Shot In The Arm from Indonesian Recovery

Global coffee exports jumped 16% on a year earlier in May, the fastest rate of growth since the prior year’s downturn ended in August. Growth has been driven by Indonesian exports, which recovered 277% after an El Nino driven drought a year earlier. That offset a decline in Vietnamese and Brazilian exports. The former may have accelerated to a 25% drop in June, while Brazil’s downturn appears to be slowing.
