Delta Apparel ramps up production but H&M leads the activewear recovery

Delta Apparel announced 8% year over year sales growth in the three months to Sept. 30 as a result of “our team’s ability to ramp-up manufacturing quicker than we originally expected” according to CEO Robert Humphreys. U.S. seaborne imports linked to the activewear maker jumped 290% higher in Q3’20 compared to Q2’20, though shipments were still down by 25.0% year over year due to a slump in imports of sweaters.
