China has imposed anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on U.S. exporters of distillers’ grain including Poet and Marquis Resources. Imports were already falling even ahead of the duties. Panjiva data shows imports by China from the U.S. of the broader product group fell 27% in the 12 months to July 31 vs. a year earlier, and likely fell another 17% in August vs. July. As a result, U.S. exporters global shipments of the products fell 42% in August vs. a year earlier.
